Hi!  I have played Fable (X-box) for far too many hours than I like to think about.  I think it is one of the greatest games ever!  However, I do have a major frustration.  I like to think I have figured most things out about the game, except for one thing: those 3 quests which pop up as soon as you graduate Hero school.  I know Briar Rose takes one, but I thought when the Lost Chapters came out that they would be incoorporated into that.  But they seem to be no more accesible in the expasion as the original.  Has anyone been able to do those?

3:56 pm - Bark?

I am a huge fan of the Xbox title, however I can't seem to find a copy of the game client on the PC that is reliably without bugs, spyware, adware, or trojans. I try not to download the executable files like .exe's, but I would really like to know where some people got a good/non-corrupted data file of Fable:TLC client. If one could help or asess the situation, it would be greatly appreciated. If not, that's fine as well, because it's been a bit arduous for myself to find. -.-; *grunt*

Thanks all ^_^

9:36 pm - Technical question

Hi people! I'm asking about F:TLC on PC - i've got myself a copy not long ago, but it seems my comp needs massive update before i can try it out - so the question is, has anyone used it with GeForce FX6600 video-card? In the "supported cards" they listed only 6800, but someone said that Fable demo was running fine with 6600, and, after all, it supports pixel shading too...

4:32 pm - Other games?

I love Fable for Xbox, I have played it over and over. I have to ask, has anyone out there found another game as good? I am trying to broaden my horizons, what are your favorite RPGs?

4:17 am - Drago's Shop in Bowerstone North

I'm playing TLC for PC and I've just beaten the Arena quest. I'm looking for the black rose to woo the mayor with and I've been told it can be purchased in the shop in Bowerstone North.

However, when I go to talk to Drago, it says he is the shopkeeper, but his aura is purple, not green. I don't get the option to trade with him.

Is this yet another problem with the PC version or am I missing some step to get him to open up shop?

I'm currently in the middle of Fable: The Lost Chapters and I'm currently undergoing the "Investigating the Mayor" quest. It says that I have to light the lamp by the stables three times, but what lamp? The only one I see is the one hanging over the entrance to Barrow Fields, and I can't seem to hit it.

4:35 pm - Fishing problems

So I've been playing  a beta version of Fable for PC, and it's amazing... I never played the Xbox version so I can't say anything about the comparison (I've read, however, that it's the same, with a few additional quests and minigames).

I love the game, but one aspect is really pissing me off. I can't seem to fish properly. I googled the problem, and saw on at least one message board that other people have had this issue, but I didn't see any clear resolution.

How the hell do you fish? I use the fishing rod above bubbles, and I get that green "reel" meter. If I get it all the way to the top, the line breaks and the fish gets away, every time. Any suggestions?

7:20 am - marriage when you're evil.

okay, so in fable, my attractiveness meter is 100.
but so is my scariness meter. :{
how the fuxx0rz am i going to get a girlfriend? (or boyfriend?)
how do you make your scariness meter go down?
same with raising your good deeds points.. it's so easy to be evil, but so hard to get good deed points. >.< do i just keep on killing bad guys until my evilness factor goes down?

...because i'm pretty evil. my eyes glow red.

is it honestly POSSIBLE to get married when you're an evil alignment?
it seems almost impossible..

12:43 pm - Rumours Abound?

Anyone heard any rumours about a sequel to Fable? I've also heard that Fable is being released on PC, along with some new faetures and an add on pack! "Might" be interesting. Any features anyone here would like to see?

Also... anyone ever tried writing Fable Fan-fiction? (OMG not another one) I hear you say? What? I'm into writing and stuff. that and Albion is a good setting for all sorts of things.

12:40 pm - Fable Soundtrack Anyone?

Seen one or two people here asking if the soundtrack for Fable was available, and apparently it is!

ANyways I'd certainly buy it, I quite like videogames with orchestrial music such as Fable and Metal Gear Solid: Sons Of Liberty.

4:09 pm - Fable Playing Habits?

Just wondering: How do you guys tend to play Fable?

I mostly play on the evil side while concentrating heavily on my archery skills, Evil and Archery have go hand in hand.

1:52 am - Awesome Scam!

So I'm tooling around Bowerstone South with my recently acquired 'Steal' abilities, when I walk into the general store shop thing just to the left of the cullis gate. Against the wall is a shelf with some chain pants. It gives me the Steal option. Okay, thinks I, and I move against the window out of everyone's line of sight. I save just before, thinking it'll be like 'last time'. Last time, I shoplifted something and while "no one" saw, when I tried to later go back to that shop, the clerk kept telling me I was trespassing and calling the guards. Whatever, though. It's late and I'm in the mood for mayhem.

I get as far away from the item as I can but having it still glow and I 'steal' it. It seems to be a success! No one noticed? On a whim, I go up to the clerk behind his wrap around counter to see if he'd be dumb enough to buy it, or would he notice they were already his and call the guards.

He buys them. For a really good price too, I might add.

Then he puts them back on the shelf. Wait, huh? Could I... do it again? I save. I try it. I do. I save. I try again. I steal again. I sell them back. Again.

Holy crap! You can pretty much steal and sell back the exact same pair of pants repeatedly. And, since you stole them/he "doesn't have any", he gives you a good price each time.

Short on cash? Steal pants!
